BlueSky Hotel|Prosperity Marks in Time
An old city, a period of BlueSky time. Touching the corners of the years, the splendor of the past is still fresh in my mind.
The colorful southern night has become a miniature of the prosperous years of the blue sky.
Those verbatim records engraved on old newspapers have long been turned into a unique pride in the hearts of Taichung people.
In the depths of time, it gently responds to each and every old Taichung resident.
There are changes that are not publicized, but just quietly bloom--
In the first light of the morning, in the last breeze of the evening, the old city of Taichung is guarded by the quietest and most affectionate memories.
South Night Dance Hall|The most prosperous night in Central Taiwan
When we talk about the golden age of Taichung, we can't forget to mention the South Nightclub. The South Night Ballroom was the most trendy and popular entertainment venue in Taichung City in the 1960s, providing space for people to dine, listen to songs, and dance. At that time, many businessmen in the central region conducted business negotiations here, and it also nurtured famous singers such as Cui Taizheng, Ouyang Fei Fei, and Huang Pin-yuan, and it was the place where Taiwan's ballroom culture was developed.
In those days, Zhongshan Road in Central District was home to Songhe Restaurant and Fengming Restaurant, Wang Jiben Department Store on Jiguang Street, the Second Market was bustling with people, and the most fashionable department store, Far Eastern Department Store, attracted people from all over the world, and the population of the entire district was as high as 25 miles at its peak. At the height of the district's population, there were as many as 25 miles of people. At night, when the lights were brightly lit and the sound of music pierced through the streets, those were the most glittering years of Taichung's history.
However, the center of gravity of the city has shifted with the times, and with the migration of population and changes in industries, the Nanny Night has gradually declined. Although it has been deserted for many years, the interior space can still be glimpsed in the splendor of the old days, with the reception area on the first floor, the opera house on the second floor, the dance hall on the third floor, and the kitchen on the fourth floor, which is a whole floor, and can be imagined to be a bustling scene of constant guests at that time. The melodies engraved in the memories of old Taichung residents have never really dissipated, but are just quietly waiting to be heard again.
Waiting for the return of the old city
The years have left deep and shallow traces in the old city of Taichung.
The cracks in the bricks and tiles of the old buildings hide the traces of the lives of several generations; the old trees on the street corners bear witness to the complete arc of the city from prosperity to tranquility.
In recent years, with the mission of revitalizing unused space, the Taiwan Midtown Regeneration Culture Association has brought together local citizens to participate in issues large and small in old towns, spawned a number of cultural groups, and reawakened a sleepy old house.
BlueSky Hotel is located in the middle of these memories.
Staying here is not just about staying for one night, but about walking into the deepest folds of the city and experiencing those times in Taichung that have never left.
